I, Jim Norman, am probably the closest thing to a group administrator for the Yahoo group. I don’t add members to the group, but I approve them. I don’t think Yahoo lets moderators unilaterally add email addresses to their groups as then spammers could use these groups.
To join, he or she needs to go to Yahoo.com, click on “Groups” on the left side of the screen, then type “Catalina 380” into the search box, and our group should be the first hit that comes up. They can click on the group and then click “join”. Once they join a few of us who are moderators get an email and we can approve their membership. We do this to prevent spam.
If someone wants to send me their email address, I can send them an invitation to join the group, which probably bypasses most of the steps above.
If they don’t already have a Yahoo ID they might need to create one to join the group. I’ve been told that there is a way to join without a Yahoo ID but I don’t know how that works.
